General Email Services: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I filter email sending from the same sender?

This can be done by setting up your personal Blacklist filters. For the detailed operational procedure please refer to the User Guide on Set up Junk Mail Filters.

Please note that the "sender" information can appear in different header lines of an email. Usually you will find them in the following header lines:

From:
Reply-to:
Return-Path:
Received:

Some of these header lines appear only when full mail header of an email is displayed. If you want to know how to display the full headers of an email, please refer to this Email FAQ .

You might find that the "sender address" appears in the above header lines are different. In order to find out the "accurate" sender address, you may need to observe the headers of several emails which you think were sent from the same sender.

In addition, as the sender address is only a part of the mail header lines, you are recommended to use either "contains" or "wildcard matches" as matching condition when setting up your blacklist filter.
