How to prevent programs/scripts to run from email automatically in Outlook Express?
 

The following security setting will stop the email script virus running automatically.
 

1.   In Outlook Express, on the "Tools" menu, click "Options".

2.   Click on the "Security" tab, select "Restricted sites Zone (More secure)" and click "Apply" button.

3.   Then click on the "Connection" tab, and click the "Change..." icon.

4.   Click "Security" tab and then on the "Restricted sites".
5.   Click on the "Custom Level..." button.

               

6.   Mark all "ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options as "Disable".

7.   Using the vertical scroll bar to select "Scripting" and mark all options as "Disable".
8.   In addition, choose "Reset custom settings" to "High".
9.   Click "OK" button.
