Can I use both Eudora and Outlook Express to access my email account on my PC?
Yes, you can. However, it is NOT recommended to do so because it will increase the complexity of troubleshooting when problem occurs, and may also cause confusions to you in handling your email activities. This way of using email client software should only be used as temporary arrangement during the transition period of switching. If you do want to do this, following is a recommended set up:
Make sure you have enabled the "Leave mail on server" option in your Eudora. Please select Tools -> Options -> Incoming Mail in your Eudora for details.
Set up your Mail Account as IMAP Mail Account in Outlook Express. Please click here for detailed procedure.
Import your Eudora Address Books from Eudora to Outlook Express. Please click here for the details.
If you want your old mail which have been stored in your Eudora local mailboxes can be accessed by Outlook Express as well, you can import those Eudora mailboxes to Outlook Express. Please click here for detailed steps.
After then, you can use both Eudora and Outlook Express to handle your email in parallel.
