Why can't I open or save attachment?

You can solve the problem by the following instruction.

  1. Tools menu, click Options.

                   

 

 

  1. Click Security tab.
  2. Disable "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus."
  3. Click "OK".
  4. Restart Outlook Express.

 

Caution:  As good practice for all e-mail users, DON'T open any e-mail attachment from unknown or unexpected sources. Moreover, users are advised to install the virus protection software provided and keep it up-to-update to ensure that your machine is properly protected even when an attached file from trustworthy source is opened. If the attached file is found to contain virus, users should DELETE it immediately and inform the sender as soon as possible.
