How to enable secure connection in Eudora to access your mailbox?

1.  From the Tools menu, choose Personalities.

            

 

 

2.  Right-click  <Dominant> (or another personality if it is needed) and choose Properties.

           

           

                       

For IMAP user

3a.  Click the tab of Incoming Mail.
4a.  Check the setting of Secure Sockets when Receiving. If it is Never, change it to If Available, STARTTLS, which is the default setting.
(Also, you may change the setting to Required, Alternate Port, or Required, STARTTLS)
5a.  Click OK.

 

 For POP3 user

3b.  Click the tab of Incoming Mail.
4b.  Check the setting of Secure Sockets when Receiving. If it is Never, change it to If Available, STARTTLS, which is the default setting.
(Also, you may change the setting to Required, Alternate Port, or Required, STARTTLS)
5b.  Click OK.
